Review: The Stationery Shop
The Stationery Shop by Marjan KamaliMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
4.5/5: Wow, what can I say except that I've been blown away by this tempestuous novel that can only be poorly-described as:
Casablanca meets L'Amant in (of all the gin joints in all the world), ye olde dusty Notebook shoppe.
I was desperately hoping for an Avengers:Endgame / Sliding Doors ending, but instead what we're left with, hook, line & sinker, is a sense of deep appreciation, for truth, beauty, freedom and the love that can move mountains and change the world, but prefers domestication.
